captions by www.subply.com. . . . . . . . . . . . . how to remove the rfid chip from an oyster card. hi' i'm frank swain and you're watching science punk videos. today i'm going to show you how to remove the rfid chip from your ordinary household oyster card now for this experiment you will need an empty jar, a working london oyster card,
Bath And Body Works Credit Card, and some ordinary nail polish remover. and all you need to do, is put the card in, and pour the nail polish remover on top. now you can use a paint thinner, and other forms of strong acetone,
but i find that these dissolve the card before you can get the chip out so.. now, after a few hours you should have something that looks a little bit like this. you can see that the oyster card has lost a lot of its stiffness, and if you pick at a corner, you should be able to peel away the layer of the card, revealing the chip underneath. and there it is. now if all goes well, you should be holding something that looks a little bit like this. now the layout of the aerial is quite important and, preferably you want it in a loop but you can try a different configurations and see what works best for you. i've also put a little bit of sellotape in there just to keep the chip,
and the antenna as i want them. now you're ready to put your liberated oyster chip and antenna into pretty much anything you want. for the purpose of this demonstration i'm going to be putting mine into this little wrist band. . . . . . . . . . . . .captions by www.subply.com
