Pay Walmart Credit Card Online, walmart offers two credit cards issued by synchrony bank. there is a walmart mastercard which can be used anywhere that mastercard is accepted and there's
also a walmart store card that can only be used at walmart stores and walmart.com. so obviously you would probably want the mastercard over the store card, and when you apply you are going to be assessed on whether your credit history is good enough to get the walmart mastercard. if your credit history is good enough you get it, if
your credit history is not good enough you will probably be offered the walmart store card instead. if your credit history is really bad, you may be rejected for both of those. but that's sort of how that works: you don't make a choice on which one you're applying for, walmart and synchrony bank are going to to make that decision for you. so
assuming you are approved for the walmart mastercard, you will get a 3% reward on walmart.com purchases... so just the online purchases... and you will get a 2% reward on murphy usa and walmart store gas purchases, and then you get a 1% reward at walmart stores and anywhere else that you use the card. now if you have the store only card as we said you
cannot obviously use it outside of walmart so you're not going to get the potential rewards that you would get if you use the use the card anywhere else. the rewards are given as a statement credit, which means they are going to go to reduce your balance on your credit card statement. you're not actually going to be getting cash back in your hand.
that is not a big deal but that is actually how many cash back cards cards work, so don't be surprised if that's how you get your money. in terms of a new card bonus, if you go online and you apply for the walmart credit card online and you are approved today and you use the card today you can
get a 20% discount on all your purchases on up to $250 worth of purchases at walmart.com. so that means you can top out at, you know, a savings of $50 and if you spent less than 250 you're going to get 20% of whatever that amount is. in terms of interest rate, the walmart credit card gives an interest rate anywhere of 17%+, to 23%+
on the high end. none of those interest rates within the range are great so you need to consider that and make sure that you don't carry a balance on your card because otherwise you are going to eat away at the rewards that you would get from the card. now in terms of our thoughts on this card compared to other
ones out there on the market, one of the issues that i think we have with this card is walmart wants you to shop online and so they are giving you a pretty big discount to do so. you're getting the three percent reward on walmart.com purchases but you're not getting that three percent reward on the walmart store purchases. so for people
that are already shopping at walmart stores and don't necessarily want to shop at walmart.com, you're not really getting a whole lot of upside here. you could go to other credit cards and get a better cash back percentage across all your purchases. if you are very walmart loyal and you pump gas
there normally and shopping online is something that you do often, this can make sense for you. but in many ways this is walmart's way to compete with amazon and really try to get more people purchasing online from them. that's good for walmart, but it's not necessarily good for you if you're not already in the habit
of buying at walmart.com. so consider that when you consider this card, because there are other cards on the market where your spending patterns very likely could make you more money. but if you are very loyal to walmart, this potentially could be a card that you would like. so that is it. thank you very much for watching. please go to creditcardcatalog.com
